Our raft and cataraft frames are made with consideration to the details that matter. This is what we do best: we make livable, durable, low profile, wide decked raft frames for long multi-day trips. Eddyline frames are made for when you are living on and off the boat, loading, unloading, and logging lots of river miles.

Raft frame base prices: 3 bay - $2,400, 4 bay - $2,600.
Cataraft frame base prices: 3 bay - $3,000 4 bay - $3,400 (cataraft frames include a rigid floor for the rower’s footwell bay).
Base prices are for frames < 96”. Larger frames are available for an additional cost.

We start with 1.25” schedule 40 pipe. This kind of pipe is lower profile, strong enough for most applications, & allows you to make use of NRS style LoPro fittings and oar mounts (the outer dimension of this pipe is 1-5/8”). Using NRS hardware makes it easy to adjust, add or swap out fittings during the lifetime of the frame. The pipe is not anodized which allows welding wherever the build calls for. If left untreated this pipe will oxidize & leave a grayish stain on your raft. The pipe is bent for the outer hoop as well as in any additional places where we can use bending instead of welding. For an additional cost, frame can be made with 1-1/2” schedule 40 pipe.

Oar mounts. Base pricing includes a pair of 8” NRS oar mounts. 6” or 10” mounts are available for an additional cost.

Oar locks. Base pricing includes a pair of Sawyer “A” oar locks. Cobra and Canyon oar locks are available for an additional cost.

Every frame comes with one adjustable bar, bordering the cooler bay. Additional adjustable bars can be added for an additional cost.

Diamond plate decks. We like to make the side decks as wide as possible, roughly 1/2 the diameter of your tube size. As the side decks get welded on to the main frame, we put in additional reinforcements between the two pipe rails, so they don’t sag or have welds crack over time. For an additional charge, you can have your decks painted, powder coated or we can make them with 1/8” smooth plate topped with SeaDek foam. For more info about SeaDek, check out our blog. We’ve written a few about the product.

Approximately 3 - 4 cutouts/square foot of deck, based on final frame design. The decks of all Eddyline frames are detailed for rigging the frame to the d-rings of the raft or cataraft. We then work in a pattern of additional cut outs that will give the user a wide variety of rigging options. These include a half round cut out in the middle of each bay, and evenly spaced on the outside rail of the frame. We work in places for a bimini mount kit, additional rigging options on the perimeter of the rowers footwell and near the end of the frame bow and stern. Lastly we throw in a row of strap slots in the middle of the deck to provide a few more rigging options for items like ammo cans, water jugs, or paco pads. Additional, specialized deck cutouts can be added for an additional charge.

Lastly, we weld on four 2 slot rigging rails. These are great for rigging spare oars and side tying, while barging up or being extra secure at camp. Additional rigging rails can be added for an additional cost. For more information about the rigging rails, check out some blogs we've written about these.

In short, we make frames like we would want them to be made: tough, versatile, functional, and a solid foundation for getting away and enjoying time on the water.

Production time varies depending on the time of year, our production queue and what's being produced. During the busy season, production of an entire raft package can take 4-6 months. Sorry, we do not ship oversized items, like frames, tables, large dry boxes and coolers. If you’re not able to pick up your item(s) when the project is complete, provided the balance has been paid, we can sometimes store your item(s) for a fee, which will depend on the size of what it is we are storing, until you’re able to pick up.
