Custom Frame Options
Before reading about these options, you might want to check out what comes standard with all our frames as well as the custom process.
Continuous Curved Frame. To make the most of the gear hauling potential of smaller continuous curved rafts, frames need to be built out and up the rocker. For us to be able to make you a continuous curve frame, we’ll need to have your raft in our shop.
Extended Back Bay Frame. The solution if you’re wanting to squeeze in a few more inches of frame space, in the divided fashion of bays. We switch up how we layout the frame and extend the back bay to create a space for a rocket box or other awkward sized items. For more info about this extended back, click here.
Mini frames. Small boats, < 12’, are a ton of fun. We can build frames that help little boats carry lots of gear and perform the best they can. The default is a 3 bay set up but we can also make a 2 bay and trailer frame, which can double as a cross thwart frame for when you want to use your raft as a paddleboat.
Trailer Frames. Can be used to to extend a raft frame in both side deck & bay storage area as well as give you the option of a small frame for day runs and when you’re running a paddle raft. For more info on trailer frames, click here.
Sport Boat Frames, Delta-ed frames. Some Sport boat and/or zodiac style boats need a way to organize and carry a load. Often these are boats that are of a varying width from the bow to the stern and the operator wants an open motor well near the transom. We can make single cross decks or multiple bay set ups to help carry coolers, fuel cells, dry boxes, etc.
Painting or Powder Coating. Add some bling and cut down the glare of the sun by having your frame painted or powder coated.
SeaDek foam. We’re an authorized dealer and big fans of this product. We’ve installed it on side decks, hatches, and boxes. For more info, check out our blog.
Hanging or Fixed Floors. Continuous floors or floors made bay by bay, angle or pipe framed. For more info on floors, click here.
Step on/off floor. For your Cataraft frame, which also serves as a place for passengers to put their feet.
Hatches. Hatches can be fixed, removable (combined with a table), and stepped (for continuous curved frames). For more info about hatch options, click here.
Cross tube decks & deck boards. Mostly for sport boats, to go over fuel cells & for rigging in spare motors. For more info on decks, click here.
Transoms. We can make transoms based on your needs, motor size, & boat set up. Simple “C”, ladder, deck, or basket transoms. Removable for rafts, fixed or removable for catarafts. For more info about transoms click here.
Other items you might want to add to your boat set up:
Coolers. We understand you can go on river trips without one but we are an authorized dealer of Engel and Canyon Coolers, if you’re wanting to travel with cold stuffs.
Oars. We’re an authorized dealer and can bring in whatever you’d like in way of Sawyer Oars &/or accessories.
We also fabricate dry boxes, tables, sand stakes, and umbrella holders.
Your imagination, our fabrication. All raft and cataraft frames are custom made to your specifications. Final pricing will be based on the project design and the options you choose. Production time varies depending on the time of year, our production queue and what's being produced. During the busy season, production of an entire raft package can take 4-6 months. Sorry, we do not ship oversized items, like frames, tables, large dry boxes and coolers. If you’re not able to pick up your item(s) when the project is complete, provided the balance has been paid, we can sometimes store your item(s) for a fee, which will depend on the size of what it is we are storing, until you’re able to pick up.
